On Wednesday, 5 November 2025, while Mahmoud (68) and Sabha (64) a-Najar were in their home, six masked settlers, armed with clubs, broke in. The settlers attacked the couple, beat them with clubs, damaged the contents of the kitchen and the television and graffitied “Regards from Susiya harvest” on the house walls.

Their sons, who were working on the land about 300 meters from the house, heard the shouting and hurried home, and the settlers then left the area. The sons called an ambulance, which took their parents to the government hospital in Yatta, where they were examined and discharged the same day.
