Khirbet Widady a-Tahta, South Hebron Hills: Settlers torch bee hives Palestinian residents of the displaced community were forced to leave behind

On Wednesday, 26 July 2023, Saleh Abu ‘Awwad (27) went to the community of Widady a-Tahta, which had been forcibly displaced, to check on about 50 bee hives they had to leave behind when he and his family were forced to leave in mid-July 2023, after repeated attacks by settlers. Upon arrival, Saleh discovered settlers had burnt all 50 hives. All that was left were the metal poles they were placed on.

The beehives are one source of income for the Abu ‘Awwad family.
