Jabal Jales, Hebron: Settler teens attack Palestinian teen grazing flock near his home

On Wednesday, 2 February 2022, at around 2:00 P.M., brothers Wasim (16), Basel (9) and Qusai (10) Tamimi were grazing their family’s flock near their home in the Jabal Jales neighborhood of Hebron. The outpost of Givat Gal was established nearby. Five teenagers from the settlement who arrived there pushed Wasim, and one tried to spray pepper spray in his face, but Wasim managed to cover it with his hands. Wasim shouted and pushed the settler away. His grandfather, Shaker Abu Saru (75), heard the shouting and came to the spot, yelling at the settlers. Meanwhile, three soldiers arrived from the nearby military post, as well as police officers summoned by the family. Wasim Tamimi showed the officers photos he had taken of the settlers, and they suggested he file a complaint at the police station. The next day, Wasim went with his grandfather to the station in Kiryat Arba and filed a complaint about the attack.
