Military training in Jordan Valley: Children inhale tear gas from canisters fired into school
On Sunday, 12 September 2021, The Israeli military began training in the Jordan Valley, particularly near the communities of Khirbet Ibzik, al-Malih, and Samrah in the northern Jordan Valley. The tanks traveled among unsown agricultural fields stretching dozens of dunams and caused them damage. On the morning of 14 September 2021, tanks passed 50 meters away from a school in the village of Tayasir. Students in the schoolyard shouted at the soldiers, and some threw stones at them. The soldiers fired tear gas canisters into the schoolyard and caused panic. Some of the students suffered gas inhalation and were treated on the spot by a Palestinian Red Crescent crew.
